CTI – Communication Trend Italia is a company highly specialised in software localisation and the translation of electronic, electrical, mechanical, magnetic and optical components for computers, servers, peripherals and all types of hardware for networks, telecommunications and telematics.
This specialisation has resulted in the supply of multilingual translations for companies that have encouraged technological development, including Rank Xerox (manuals for photocopiers, fax machines and office equipment), IBM (manuals for PCs and mainframes), Novell (manuals for NetWare network operating systems) and HP (printing system manuals).
Our company was also a pioneer in the use of innovative technology, starting from the installation of the IBM XT, the first PC in history, followed by the powerful Xerox Documenter/Apollo workstations. In the mid-eighties we installed the first laser printers and created an internal Graphics and Layout department, with operators specialised in the use of the main programs – still new at the time – starting with Ventura Publisher, followed by Aldus PageMaker and, last of all, Interleaf.
This commitment was extended to word-processing from the primitive WordStarandMicrosoft Wordup to the more sophisticated Adobe applications for graphics and layouts.
At the end of the nineties, CAT Trados, the leading application in the computer-assisted translation market, became a standard tool in our workflow, making it possible to reduce translation times and costs, and operate on any XML, HTML, Word, PowerPoint or Excel files as well as all main publishing formats.
Today our Project Managers use advanced management systems capable of monitoring all phases of the translation process, from the selection of resources to quality control compliant with the procedures established by our UNI EN ISO 9001and UNI EN ISO 17100 certification. This guarantees strict respect for agreed deadlines and the highest quality standards for our customers.
All projects are managed by technologies based on translation memories, reducing translation times, terminological management and revision, with a consequent price reduction.
Our team shares ICT resources and gives professionals access to company servers, which allows us to cater for large supplies of translated manuals and technical documentation that require the simultaneous release of multilingual versions.
